    when bike is sitting still it idles but at times it will rev up when driving when shifting gears engine stays reved up but when at a stop idle properly

    You either have something that is catching the throttle linkage and preventing it sometimes from closing all the way (like the clamps on the boots ) or you have a vacuum leak.

      whats the easiest way to check for vacuum leaks

        Would require you to pull the plastics but carb cleaner or starting spray in small amount around all the rubber and seals be careful around the engine side i recommend while the engine is fairly cold, when the engine idle jumps you found your leak
        never argue with an idiot, they'll drag you down to there level and beat you with experience.

          checked for vacuum leaks with starting fluid found no leaks checked throttle linkage moving freely checked carb. sync with a manometer all in sync when at a idle if you rev. up also it hesitates before it comes back to a idle

            Hanging idle is from being lean. If you don't have vacuum leaks to cause it, then your looking at dirty carbs that need to be cleaned and tuned.

              got another set of carbs off of another bike no more issues just idle bouncy but going to do carb clean and see what happens
