I have a chance to pick up another kat... its a 91 600 that has 2nd gear gone. He says the shifter fork needs replaced but from what I've read it is a chore to say the least. I am a pretty good mechanic but haven't done transmissions before. Would it be worth $800? Thinking about getting it and saving it for a winter project in the garage.

300 max with a second gear issue. Unless the rest of the bike is extremely clean and you have a replacement motor already.1992- project katfighter
