  • Gas Mileage?

i just dont seem to be getting really good gas mileage lately, is there anything that would be preventing that, i drive all city and rarely on the higway?

I would think you'd get somewhere around 35-40 in the city. I can pull down 50-55 on the open road with my 600. it would help if you actually measure it instead of thinking it's bad. The gas gauge on the Kat is only accurate at Empty and Full. Anything else is a crap shoot.

35-40 in city? Wow I honestly thought it would be better then that. But that does seem to be about what I get in town, 41mpg.

City driving, especially short trips where your bike is mostly cold, will mpg.I have a '91 katana 1100 and in only city driving it gets only 26mpg. On my last long trip, it got 42mpg.

Totally agree. My Tahoe gets less than 15 MPG and the wife's minivan gets a little over 20. I'll take 40 MPG all day long. $5.00+ though..man that's rough. I complain about the prices here I get gas in Missouri and its $3.35 right now.

very lucky!! I haven't seen cheap gas like that in quite a while. Fuel in my are is really taxed. If you ever come to Canada, bring cash. Lots of it as you will need it!

I live very close to the Waashington State border and it is about $4.15 a gallon.
