  • Project: From Nothin To Somethin

Throughout this thread I'll be posting the progress on my 05 Kat 750. I bought the bike around April of 2009 and hadn't done anything to it until around 2 weeks ago. I bought the bike for about $600 and it had all of 1,800 miles on it--I thought it was a fairly good deal even though it had a bent frame and forks.

Up until now I've never really touched the bike, it never even ran either. I spent $50 shipped on a new ignition switch as the old one was busted, 30 on a new harness and a few bucks on 2 new coil caps. She started right up.

This week the frame, Gauges headlight and carb jets come in and i'll post the progress as i go along. For now here are a couple pics of when i first got the bike.

Thanks, currently it's faster then a stock Kat in the 1/4. Thanks again, i'll def keep you guys posted. Every time I look on this site I find something else I want to add or change on the bike. From your avatar it looks like you've put some work into it. It's looking good.

Thanks. I hope soon for mine to look as good as yours. It'll be close or the same as both you guys' Kats.

LMAO, it's cool. It's almost expected coming from a GM guy. I give it to the guys on my car forum all the time....of course, in a none gay sort of way lol

So you have timed it against a stock kat in that condition?????

My car is finished, it's always at the track. It's run an 11.2 @ 121 while slipping a s/c belt. I've looked up times for stock Kats, that's where I got my Info
