  • Country codes?

So I got my manual today from Stephen in New Zealand :http://bunsen.hosts.net.nz/e-classic...m/thankyou.htm

I am very happy with the quality, it seems to be a reprint and rebinding of the original Suzuki shop manuals for all 750cc bikes produced 1980 to 1983. There is not a lot of specific info for the Katana as it seems to have been a supplement to the standard 80s 750s. Not a problem as it does cover off all the areas of my concern, excepting that I'm confused about the wiring diagrams as there are 6 different ones covering models E 01 through E 39. I know these are country codes but I don't which relates to what countries. Is there a listing anywhere and is the designation stamped on the bike?

The reason I bring it up is, this bike may have been a German model brought back to Canada by a returning serviceman. It may not be a Canadian model. I don't imagine it matters too much but I'd just like to know.

As always, any assistance would be greatfully appreciated.

    Cheers all,
    Spyug

        Still confused about codes.

On that page it goes on to say that the country codes are not stamped on the bike so I still wonder how you can tell which market the bike was built for.

In my new manual, there are 6 different variations for the wiring harnesses but oddly not one specifically for the Canadian version. I am trying to determine if my bike is a German variant brought back to Canada but the schematic for German bikes doesn't fit what I have in hand.

Its confusing. Can anyone clear it up for me?

        cheers all,
