gixxer carbs

Anybody have any experience with Gixxer carbs on a kat. I recently put in a GSXR750 motor in my kat, and I want to use the Mikuni flat side carbs that I have.

I am not sure what the best way to go about this is. The carbs take 2 throttle cables, while the Kat obviously only has 1.

I am also a bit concerned with the clearance on the carbs as the throttle cable connects above the carbs instead of below the top of the carbs. I am pretty sure there will be enough room with the clearance (not tested yet), but I am not entirely sure what to do about the throttle cable. I am thinking that a gixxer throttle tube will soleve my problem...any thoughts?

I would go with the GSX-R throttle..
I have the whole assembly on my Kat.
The plug for the switches is different.
I was after a newer looking pod (mine was pretty weathered). Not sure if the GSX-R tube will fit in the Kat pod. I just attached one cable to the GSX-R tube.

thanks black peter. Are they the same style of carbs that you used? I'm a little bit concerned about clearance. i have a line on 98 Gixxer throttle tube, actually its the whole clipon, with switches/master cylinder and all.

Any thoughts on whether the 98 tube will work?
