Bandit 600 caps fit, got mine on ebay for $20. They fit the swingarm end perfectly but the bandit has a bigger axle. Doesn't really affect anything unless your just anal like me and don't want slop in the adjuster, then you''ll need to make a sleeve. Otherwise it's a simple and goooooooooooood looking mod.

I like that mod I have done some lookign up and the cheapest is $12.50 mrcycles.com and 12.07 at ron ayers cannot find any on ebay or gdcycles. Maybe I have to spring that hard earned cash and pay the 30 bucks. Was thinking powdercoating them black since I have the grayish color swingarm and looking to get a black vortex rear sprocket hmmm

Not to sound like a tool, but what are you guys talking about? I was trying to figure it out, but not sure..

Is part 10? If not what are you talkin about. Always looking for more knowledge.

The end of the swing-arm. Allen bolts to adjust the chain.

Speede, did you sleeve your axle?

I got my set the other day...

Nope. Since the adjusters are pulling on the shaft I didn't think it was needed. Never had any troubles.

I took some pics of the bandit adjusters next to the katana adjusters tonight before I put them on the kat.

Notice that on the bandit adjusters, the block is drilled, and has a bolt welded behind it.

LOOKS much better than the ugly bolts of the kat sticking out....

The holes in the bandit adjusters are slightly larger.... but if spedee isn't worried, then I'm not worried...

For the sake of future searches: bandit adjuster adjusters swingarm swing arm replace allen head

I keep the main bolt with light pressure on the swing-arm while adjusting the chain. when I have it correct I snug the bolt tight to torque specs. This keeps the Bandit adjusters against the bolt. No problems at all. And it looks so much cleaner.

I want to point out that this is not just cosmetic.
I have seen several pictures here on KR of what happens when the stock plate shifts. Sure the root cause can be poor maintenance but if that plate shifts it can not only damage the swing arm and plates but cause catastrophic chain problems..

The way the bandit unit fits deeper into the swing arm would require a lot of slack to get it to unseat.

Thanks for that comparison, steves. I was wondering if the bandit adjusters had the bolt welded on like that.

I have done this swap on my bike as well. I took them into the shop and welded the Katana sleeves into the bandit adjusters. Best of both worlds going that way.

Hey, since the bandit adjusters have the welded nut on them, doesn't that mean that you can move the wheel forward (towards the bike) without having to heave/kick/shove/manhandle it yourself?

Spedee

No, the bolt won't work like that.

The screw through the end cap is not "captured" so when you unscrew it, it back out of the cap. If you captured it somehow it could work that way but in this design it would put a lot of stress on the parts.
