I might be wrong about this but I looked on Ivans web site and did not see a pre 98 jet kit. Is there a good kit for a 96?

"Good" is subjective . There ARE kits , but not from Ivan . You can make do with a Factorypro or Dynojet , but their suggested settings are off , so you'll have to play with it . However , another member is taking his bike to Ivan to have a kit for the pre 600's made , so act now and order yours today , or something .

I've installed..........oh..about 30 or 40 jet kits - each one is fine: Factory Pro or DynoJet.
Biggest key is once you are all done you HAVE TO synch them!!
No way around it.........they will never run at or near 100% without it.......
Preferably do your synch and dyno tune it with an EGA also - bet all around bet!I've owned over 70 Katanas - you think I know anything about them?
Is there such a thing as TOO MANY BIKES?
Can you go TOO FAST on a bike?

I have a 600 as well. Not a 750. Man I had the automet.er egt gauge and a boost gauge for my wrx. I wish I didnt sell it. How much is involved with a/f adjustments with a jet kit or is it the same settings with just a larger main jet? I think I need to richen up my mixtures, of course it might just be riding in 36 degree mornings thats making the bike run like poo.1996 Katana - Sold

Not if they are leaning out due to the density of the air. being the cold air is more dense and the fuel is controled by the pilot screws below 3000 rpms "approx" that means that the low end of the curve is shaky at best in the cold, once the main jets kick in it goes like heII.1996 Katana - Sold
