How I got around the problem of removing the front wheel.

Uh ya think :wink: . I gave it a good go before I left it like that. The straps are pretty darn tough so I think I will be okay.

On second thought, I have added an axle stand under the front axle shaft.

all i did was put it on the center stand and put some sandbags on the back seat.

Yeah, I meant as in "what if the strap slides up the pole... and allows the front of the bike to slip.... :-D

The strap is secured tightly below the widest point of the pole. I would bet a mortgage payment that it is the least of my worries.

If it works, it works. I looked at first and said how the heck??? Then I noticed the strap. Good stuff.
