New Hindle Exaust installed (pics included)

I couldn't sleep, so I decided to go out to the garage and work on the Kat. I removed the fairings (thanks to those who told me how to get those little black plastic things out, I couldn't figure it out. Oh, and yes I did a search and got 142 pages of results, lol.) and kinda liked the street fighter (naked) look.

I got a good look at the stock exaust so that I could judge clearance when I installed the new exaust.

I knew the new exaust was bigger then the stock, but I was suprised as to just how much bigger it is!

I started installing the exaust (following the instructions) by installing the flanges and flange-primary springs:

I then installed the headers:

After installing the collector, I put the mid and muffler on.

All in all, I was very happy with how simple the install went, and I LOVE the sound :D

Now, just to do the jet-kit, and have the carbs sync'd.

Did i see that right? All that holds the header to the flanges is some springs?

yep, but those springs are pretty damn strong. Once the entire system is installed and bolted int place, you wouldnt even need the springs.


I thought about welding the system together, as I was unsure how the springs were going to work, but they work perfectly.

What jet kit did you get to go with it? And what did you pay for your Hindle system?

I used a Dyno-Jet Stage 1 kit (Though Ivan's is the most popular for Kats.) and it ran $125.

The exhaust (4/2/1) was right at $600, and the Titanium can was $319.

I also installed a K&N AirCleaner at the same time.
