  • airtech seat cowl pre98

I just purchased a solo cowl for my katana from airtech... it was only like 50 bucks, which is cheap, so i was worried that it would be cheap quality. I was wrong, i will have pictures up in a few days but the seat cowl fit perfect and looks great. Dont be afraid to buy it for your katanas because it is a low price.

I just got one to. Good quality, you have to drill all the holes out yourself for the rear mounting points and the seat lock.
    Should have it painted soon.

I have some pictures in the pics and flicks section with it on.

and Braada doesn't make a pre-98 cowl that I know of. It's this or a stock suzuki if you can find one.

I'm not sure Suzuki ever made a solo cowl for the 750. I know they made one for the 600, I have one of them.

But bcsean is correct. BraadaJim does not make pre-98 cowls anymore. He only does 98+ cowls now.

airtech also only makes it for the 600. No idea where you'd get one for a 750.

Do a search for "pre-98 solo cowls" that should turn up something. I have a Suzuki cowl, but some others have the Airtech and have posted pictures of them.

The grab bar on the pre-98's attach to the seat, not the frame. When you remove the rear seat, there is nothing to attach the grab bar to.

Did you have to do any modifications to make it fit right or did it just slip on with no problems? What is the screw attached to?

When you get it, it has nothing done to it. You will have to drill out all the holes. The two rear bolts that go into the back of the seat keep it stable, but dont actually bolt it down (the is nothing re-inforcing the cowl) so it has some give. Sorry dont quite know how to explain it.

Just take some time to make sure the holes match up right and it went on like a glove.
