04 Tail light?

I was wondering if I made a braket to hold the tail light for the tail lens and the integrated tail light led. would it still work or do I need the factory tail ligh assmebly?

I have an 2002 kat but just won an 04 tail. It was suppose to come with the light but it didn't so looking for other options.

You need the '04+ tail light metal support bracket (suzuki PN 35726-08F00), and the tail lens assembly (suzuki PN 35710-24F30). I just happen to have both sitting here on my shelf waiting for my '04+ tail to get painted to match the rest of the bike.
