SV/Katana front rims and rotors...

Does anyone happen to know if the '03+ SV650 and '03+ Katana use the same front rim?

They look to be the same, and both are using a 290mm front rotor. Do you think the bolt patterns are the same?

My new front rotors are the depressed center - like on the '98-'02 Katana, instead of the flat style on the newer bikes. I need to know if the SV's are using the same bolt pattern and rotors - just as a backup in case Galfer "doesn't make the flat style rotor" for a Kat. At least then I can order the SV rotors and have them fit....

2004 SV650 rotor part number is the same as a 2004 600 Katana.

Yeah, I just looked it up too...part numbers are the same for the '03+ front rotors on the Kats and SV's...

Now I just have to pray that Galfer makes rotors for the '03+ SV as well.

EVERYBODY makes SV parts these days. The best we can do is find which ones fit the Kat.

OK, it's all worked out. They DO make the flat rotors for an SV/Katana.

Sooo...IF you have an '03+ Kat, and are ordering rotors from Galfer, make sure that you SPECIFY that your rotors are flat.

This will avoid a couple days of swearing and hitting things.
