In an incredible story...I am getting my Kat back in ONE PEICE next week. For those of you that remember or were around, I had bought a Katana back in July or so, and after only 2 days of having it, it was stolen.
Well now after 6 months of being bikeless, my fiance and I had finally recovered from the loss (financially) and were starting to save for a new bike, because the stats were against us for getting ours back.
On Saturday night we were working at about 11PM, when a man tried to rob Outback (where I work) and use a stolen credit card to pay. He ran out of the place and of course we called the cops. Bout a half an hour later the girl and I left and decided to get some late night munchies at a local Denny's. As we were driving, we noticed 3 cop cars in an empty parking lot, and looked over (thinking they had caught the man from Outback), and saw a Red, 98+ Katana. Thinking that this was odd...we stopped and asked the police if the bike happened to be stolen, which it was. We told them our story, and they let us look over the bike. Things started to add up, milage, glue on the left side (the guy I bought it from tried to fix the grip and glue went down the left fairing), residue from several stickers on the bike, AND...and inspection sticker from Marion, VA (where the man I bought it from lived). So after filing another report, talking to detectives and the orignal detective, we got a call yesterday saying that the VIN was confirmed and we will have the bike back next week!!
Its just amazing that all of the events caused us to go a back way to eat, to get out late, etc.
So life is good again!! Its gonna have an alarm, lock, the whole 9 yards!!
