hi, hope someone can help. i have a 94 gsxf 600 and i just put another engine in from a 1990 gsxf 600. fired it up yesterday and running good, but the clutch is not engaging. tried adjusting the cable and still nothing when i squeeze the lever. its like i dont have a clutch cable at all. thanx

i thank you all for your replies.

the push rod is in there, but it seems as if its pushing into a brick wall lol. when i pull the lever, i see the case pushing out a little as if that push rod is too long.

just tried messing with it, seems the rod is pushing in ok, but still wont roll when i pull the clutch in.grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Does it feel tight or loose?
If loose then maybe the push rod is missing.
It is a silver rod that fits into the engine case.

Number 20.
Number 22 pushes on it as it rotates.

Could be your cable attachment link (connecting the cable to part #22) is broken

This is exactly what my fix was when I swapped motors. However mine was a post motor into a pre and the pushrods were different lengths... If you haven't already, run through this http://katriders.com/vb/showthread.php?t=64698
