Had my last ride of the season yesterday. Not on my Kat, but on my buddies Ninja 650R. God, I hate winter...

Hmm, I'm not too sure where Johnstown is, but I live in Wilkes-Barre, and we're still pretty evenly 50s-60s. Still good riding weather. That just means the cold is probably coming our way. I'll soon have my last ride this season. :'(

Friend of mine told me that it was 70 degrees in Philly yesterday.. Johnstown is near Altoona, right? in the mountains? Just get whenever the pavement is dry.. wear some longjohns/thermos if temp is cold..

May have had my last ride this season also. I needed to do some geneology work at some county cemeteries and the day was perfect to ride my way around the county. Central Indiana can produce some great riding weather in winter, 50 - 60 degree days so I keep my kat ready in the garage and always plugged into the battery tender.

I don't care for winter either...

I very well could have had my last ride this past weekend. Went out for an hour or so Saturday. Sun was shining and temps hit almost 60!

Wanted to go for longer but I had this concert to hit up....you may have heard of them-MEGADEATH :redcool

Not as good of a show as Metallica was on Monday but hey, when else can you see both those bands in the same town within 5 days of eachother??!

I actually went for a small ride this morning. had to run to the bank, so I decided to go by bike. it was a balmy 3 degrees celcius, which is about 38F.

yes, it was chilly.

It started out at about 35F when I left at 10 this morning, and was probably 45F when I got home for lunch. I was just running around town, but it wasn't all that bad, my Kat is the first bike I've had with a windshield and I'm amazed how much even that little thing helps in the cold.

We're supposed to be nice for most of the rest of the week, so I'm hoping for a couple more nice rides :)

The weather may be good here for the rest of the week, but I'm getting my arse kicked the last half of November, at work. No time to ride.

Yes, our roads ice over here...ALOT.

Cherrif, Kristin is taking control of the Kat, and I'm paying off my balance on the Blackbird, over the winter, so I can pick it up in the spring.

I mean with the 650R?

It belongs to my friend Ben. It's been living in my garage since June. He's terrified of it, so he hasnt been on it since July 5th. He hasnt even mentioned it, since July 5th. Just to keep the gas from gumming up, I ride or start it every so often.

I wear Tourmaster heated Jacket liner, pants and gloves. Even when it is in the 30s, i need not put it above medium heat. This stuff really extends your season. It looks as though it will be close to 50F here in Buffalo this weekend and providing it does not rain, i will be riding.

I have a slower riding season, but it never really ends for me... :smt102

All of this talk makes me happy to live in CA. Being born in CT and living in MN. Living here for the weather is pretty sweet. But things are pretty out of control expensive around here. When I look at cost of living in so many places around the country it makes me want to move. If I could keep my wife's and my income we could have lots of toys!

I also think that it would be nice to have an off season so that I could just know that I had time to tear apart the bike and get stuff done. With a red sticker dirt bike I kinda know what that is like though.

Hope you are able to get your mods you want to do done in the off season!

It was 36*F this morning when I left for work. It was cold! I had on enough clothes to keep my body warm, but my face and hands got cold during the hour-long ride to work. I have GOT to get one of my trucks fixed!

I lied. I got my Kat back after I posted this, and have had it out three times since then. But I do beleive I'm done for the season, unless we get a sunny 45 degree+ day this month.

On a lighter note, I'm going to play paintball with Free Coffee and (hoping) Cherrif this coming Sunday. Always wanted to shoot Coffee in the neck with a paintball...

Riding season is pretty much over for me locally, but already have plans in the works to trailer a couple bikes down to Nor Cal for a day or two where it's warm enough to ride sometime in Jan. Then I'll be riding again in Mar in So Cal.
